[The first thing Ramza felt was confusion. As the video clicked on, due to the help of his new Phantump, he is just looking around - giving a frown and tremble. His voice? Sounds almost human, but... slightly robotic, a bit of static cutting though it.]

Where is... the beginning?

[This is not right. It was time to try again - not time to appear in a small town. Ramza couldn't even see the world map!!

Glitchy effects appear though video - it might just be a video effect, or-- wow, did a small knife just appear in Ramzas' hand, as he goes to sit down.]

I don't want to be here. This is not Ivalice. I need to reset. To help Teta.

[...And then. Ramza flops backwards, with a bit of a sigh, which simply sounds like static.]

...But...

It feels nice - this air. It feels well-programmed. I wonder if this is simply somebody fixing the land? I want to help Teta. And Alma. And Delita. Do you think we can?

...What are you holding, Ghost?

[...A pause, as Ramza listens to the Phantump, quietly and calmly. However, Ramza is not happy. He looks neutral, but... he's so angry. Who would do this...?!]

It can record me? That is impossible - what would have been deleted to fit all this data? Who would be watching?

...Can they... respond? Do they live?

[He's quiet, as he stands again - moving to the edge of the town. Confusion in his stance as he tries to touch the gates, and they open by themselves.

[This pony has no idea what you're trying to say, Ramza. Half of this is flying over her head, and your voice is frankly freaking her out. Yet somehow, she's remaining on the visual.]

....H-Hello...?

[...What is that. No, really. In his times, he'd never seen anything like it.

But... non-human. Must be a monster. A talking monster? Ramza gives a look from the gates, to the recording, with his neutral face. Giving a thought to it, Ramza then smiled, baring his teeth a little. He needed to know some variables.]

How many have you killed?

[.......................ramza.]

[WHAT!?]

Wh...what do.... wh...

[And she faints on the spot. Good job, Ramza.]

[ ...

...? ]

She died from that? I was not using Death Sentence.

Three turns, and she will be a crystal.

[ ramza is. trying to touch her though the screen though. pawing at it. ]

[She wasn't even sure how to process Ramza's question.

However, a little Ralts cries out at the screen, reacting to its owner's shocked reaction, even if she's fainted.]

[ Another monster. Human-like? Ramza peers at it - before his Phantump screeches in apology. She's got an odd one.

Ramza, though, simply turns away to continue trying to figure out how to get out of this map. ]

[The Ralts goes back to trying to get her owner to get up. Eventually, she manages to get Coco to get up.

The moment she spots Ramza on the visual again, she freaks out and replies fast.]

I h-haven't... I w-wouldn't... I've n-never killed anypony! I would never do that! Wh-why would you... ask me such a question!?

For you are not human.

[A simple answer, so Ramza thinks. A pause, and then...]

...Do you live?

O-Of course I live! Wh-why does me not being a h-human mean I might've k-killed somepony!?

[She's extremely on edge by this point, unsure what's coming next.]

Humans, and monsters. That is all there is.

[ raaaamza u jerk. ]

I-I'm not a monster! I'm a pony! And there's plenty more than just humans and monsters! Are rabbits monsters? Are other woodland creatures monsters?

...Yes. I have not heard of ponies. But creatures of the woodlands are monsters, who attack as me and the ones who do not live travel though, on the way to continue the story.

Alongside other humans, who attack to kill.

[including Dog. Dog the friend.]

... Then you must live in a bizarre world... because in the world I live in, nopony would attack to kill like that... and none of us are monsters... we're all peaceful.

Peaceful?

[A pause, as Ramza tries to think about it... before giving a small frown, his voice almost sounding... natural.]

There is no such thing as peace. There is either war or suffering. That is how the program runs. Not fighting simply means that I am waiting for the next event trigger.

[Ramza still thinks he's in Final Fantasy Tactics! As he's talking, though, his Phantump has shown him he can actually. Just go though the gates - and Ramza lets out a little hrm.]

There is no war or suffering on my world. I don't know... wh-what this 'program' you're talking about it. O-or 'event trigger'. This... is a different world than wherever you came from. It's somehow brought us here against our will.

...I have not heard of that technology.

[ Because Ramza can't get to getting Cloud! ]

[ Those black squares? HORRIBLE STATIC. Ramza himself seems to flinch at it, and backs away, closing his mouth.

Another pause, before adding:]

You live. But you are confusing.

...Have you heard of the Beoulves?

[You interest him, Ramza.]

What are you, exactly? You don't seem entirely human.

[Ramza tilts his head. This feels different - glitching around his hands, his knife is replaced with a book.]

I am human. I live. Nobody else in my program lives.

Do you live?

Your program, you say? How odd. [Definitely not all human, he notes.]

I do. My name is Doctor Eggman. I'm in charge of... many things within this world. Studying things, like the dimensional anomalies that have brought you here. But you seem to have a mission. Do tell me about it.

[Ramza is just so excited to actually have living people - but he's still a little nervous. But explaining his mission... it won't make it too bad, will it? He stops walking, to... teleport closer to the camera, with his frown.]

I am from SCUS-94221. I am told I am to find the truth, about Delita and I. My family - who are not my half-brothers - I want to let them live. Like me. They repeat everything, every time Teta dies, and the world resets. Sometimes my name and birthday are different. But they all say the same things. I am ignored.

This is reset 513/513. It is different. I have never met anybody else who lived. Or not been in the beginning map. Or had a ghost tree following me. I̶t́ ͢is͘͡ ẃ͏̴ŗ̧o̵n̶g̢.͡

[He blinks a few times after finishing speaking. He didn't static up once! It's... perhaps it's because he's happy? Who knows.]

[Interesting. Eggman takes a couple of notes, and the last sentence gives him an idea of what Ramza is like. Or at least a guess.]

That is because you are not in your world any longer. This is a different world. However! There are ways to... reach out to other dimensions. Including the one you come from. If you don't mind me asking... do you seem to have any... influence over your world at all?

...Different worlds. I was trying to get onto the memory card, to escape. This is another Playstation game?

He's not staticing, though! He almost sounds... natural. He just seems happy. ]

I re-programmed Ivalice. I could manipulate it. Create new maps. Control movement. Make myself more intelligent. But I could not change how others could speak.

[ There's a pause, before... ]

You wish to see those powers. Is that it?

[Manipulate the world... re-program it... control things... it was like a dream. You couldn't even make this kind of stuff up.]

This is not a 'Playstation' game, no. This is an entirely different dimension from any other, from what my research has told me. A different world in a different dimension. Which may explain your confusion.

Your powers seem... very interesting. A demonstration would be excellent.

I cannot manipulate this world like my old one. I do not know the data points. But...

[ Ramza closed his eyes. He could always manipulate how he looked - at least, a little. He just needed to think of what data to call, to change how he looked.

The same glitchy effect from the book appearing appeared around Ramza. And in a moment... he seemed to have fully changed to look like Delita.

His voice remains the same, as he turns back to the camera, smiling nervously. His Pumpkaboo seems super nervous though. ]

I can manipulate myself to look like other units. This is one of them.
