Hey everyone! I just got the Bug Badge! [He shows it off.] It was a pretty tough fight [he wasn't expecting Viola to start out with a water/bug 'mon] but my new friends all did their best! I guess this is what it feels like to be a Pokemon Trainer, huh?

[In the background, a Vulpix and Fletchling call out happily.]

If any of you are looking to get the Bug Badge, be warned - it's not as easy as tossing a fire type out! Be prepared with at least a few Pokemon. It's not a really hard fight, but it's still a bit challenging.

Anyway, looks like we'll be staying in Santalune for a little bit, but it'll be time to go to Luminose before we know it!

Perched on the brim of Kotoha's new cap is her Fletchling, Lasair.

"Good for you! It's always thrilling when you get your first badge, isn't it?"

"You can say that again!" With what he had learned of Pokemon and its world beforehand, it was really exhilarating to get his first badge. Something he had wanted for quite some time. He had no idea how exciting that battle was, even if it was a little short with two versus two.

"It's going to get a lot tougher from here, but I'm not giving up until I get all eight!"

Lasair hops down off Kotoha's hat and lands in her arms. Kotoha gently smooths down the feathers on his chest as she continues to speak.

"It's kind of weird for me, starting a new journey in a new region, but...I dunno. It feels neat, being able to challenge Gyms again!"

"You took the gym challenge in a previous region?" He almost forgot how Kotoha took the stage at the beginning and was teaching people how to train and catch Pokemon.

Kotoha does a little mock bow as Lasair fans his wings.

"West Unova, born and raised! You're talking to the Unova League Champion, you know?"
